Dr. Alexis Ioannidis, PD Dr. med. dent., graduated from the University of Zurich in 2009 and completed postgraduate training in reconstructive dentistry at the same institution, followed by a research fellowship in Athens. In 2021, he received his Venia Legendi in minimally invasive prosthodontics and has served as head of fixed prosthodontics at the University of Zurich, a role he held until October 2025. From 2025 onwards, he has also run his private clinic in Zurich. Alexis is a certified specialist in reconstructive dentistry by the Swiss Society of Reconstructive Dentistry and holds master’s degrees in oral implantology and periodontology from the University of Zurich. His research and clinical work focus on minimally invasive restorations, implant dentistry and digital technologies in prosthodontics. He has published extensively in international journals, contributed to textbooks and remains affiliated with the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Zurich.
Clinical Dental Technician
Digitizing dentures: A wake-up call for crown and bridge technicians
Caroline Kirkpatrick, a clinical dental technician with more than 30 years of experience, has transitioned from analog to digital in ceramic, prosthetic and implant-retained restorations. As founder of OTS Dental Laboratory, she has led the adoption of digital innovation in full-arch and removable prosthetics. Working directly with patients, she tests materials and refines workflows in real clinical settings. A Nightshift ambassador and educator, Caroline shares insights through lectures and workshops, encouraging open discussion on the digital transition. She aims to inspire crown-and-bridge technicians to recognize the full potential of removables in a digital era.
Dr. Zhiqiang Luo is a clinical instructor in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he teaches, conducts research and provides patient care in digital dentistry. He earned his DDS from the West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University, and a master’s degree in prosthodontics from Peking University before advanced training in digital workflows and implant prosthodontics. With more than a decade of experience, Zhiqiang specializes in esthetic rehabilitation, full-arch reconstruction and 4D virtual patient integration. His current research focuses on deep learning applications in digital impressions and validating fully digital restorative protocols.

Seth Potter, an Independent Certified exocad Trainer and digital dental designer, is originally from Alberta, Canada, and now works across the Americas. He is the founder of Dental Design Services and his online exocad-focused academy, which helps dental professionals master exocad software and refine their digital workflows. Seth delivers clear, practical methods that enable dentists and specialists to bring design in-house and boost efficiency. Known for his clarity, precision and optimization, he transforms complex software into intuitive, hands-on learning experiences. His work has empowered teams worldwide to streamline production and elevate results.

Michaela Sehnert is a dentist and practice owner based in Halle (Saale), Germany. She graduated top of her class from Leipzig University in 2013 and founded her first practice, gesundesweiss, in 2016, where she focuses on a holistic and patient-centered approach. Her expertise includes aligner therapy, implantology, and preventive dentistry, with an emphasis on digital workflows and individualized care. Sehnert is a sought-after speaker for Align Technology, the C.L.E.A.R. Institute and Straumann, and serves as president of the German Society for Interdisciplinary Aligner Therapy (DGiA). In 2025, she expanded her work by founding gesundesweiss group GmbH and opening a second practice to advance modern, accessible dentistry. Michaela is the mother of two children and stands for a forward-looking, human-centered dentistry that unites innovation with responsibility.
Prof. Dr. DDS, RTDB, MSc
Minimally invasive excellence through an interdisciplinary approach: The future is ART
Prof. Dr. Marco Tallarico, DDS, RTDB, MSc, is associate professor of fixed and removable prostheses on natural teeth and implants, and gnathology at the University of Sassari, Italy. He graduated with honors from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and completed advanced training in oral surgery, periodontology and implantology in Rome and Florence. He received EAO certification in implant-based therapy in 2013 and the Aesculapius Research Prize from the University of Florence in 2019. A former president of Osstem OIC Italy, he is currently director of Osstem OIC Europe and co-director of OIC Middle East. Marco is an active member of IAO, DDS, EAO and AIOM, and lectures internationally on implant surgery. In 2024, he was recognized among the top 2% of scientists worldwide and maintains a private practice in Rome limited to implant surgery and prosthetics.

Lukas Wichnalek, CEO of HIGHFIELD.DESIGN Mexico, is a German-born dental technician known for combining analog artistry with advanced digital technology. He trained at the HIGHFIELD.DESIGN laboratory in Germany and Zirkonzahn’s headquarters in Italy. Based in Mexico, Lukas’ work has been featured in leading dental publications and presented at major global congresses. As an educator, he teaches courses from foundational techniques to advanced full-arch workflows. His mission is to help clinicians and technicians achieve exceptional, predictable results.

The official language of the event is English. The main stage speakers and clincal sessions will also be simultaneously translated into Chinese, German, Italian and Spanish. Insights lab sessions will include expert multilingual commentary by our own application specialists.
The fastest and easiest way to get to the island is by air. Mallorca is connected with 164 different airports. The event location, Palau de Congressos de Palma, is 10 minutes away from the airport by car. The conference center's garage offers space for 245 autos and has five electric car charging stations.
